My Dazed Vision

the vision in my brain won't let you go
because I just wanted to let you know
how much I wanted to be with you
like so
the sight of you it makes me desire you
makes me want to be with you, it drives me to love you

I could still see your smile and makes me happy
your blonde hair, your brown eyes keeps me locked to you
when I watch you at your ballet it makes me cry
when I see how good you really are and it makes you happy
I see your power and it hypnotizes me, it makes me want to die
and my sister knows that I would do anything for you

why didn't you tell me?
how you felt toward me

that you didn’t want to be seen by me

of how much you disliked me

you were the one
that I liked very much, the one I wanted very much
the one that I felt strongly towards
I left everything behind in my little town
to go, come down and visit, to be with you

I see your beautiful long black hair
and your hypnotic blue eyes
I see you smile and everything seems fair
but like every relationship it ends in sad good-byes
we get a photo and I can tell you don’t care
and I know I’m not the only one here, I’m not the only competing for you love
life is too short to get upset and life isn’t always fair
it was so wonderful to see you here

year after year

Your Light in Fright

can you close your eyes?
can you tell me your name?
relationships start with a hello and end with goodbyes
you feel upset, but you try to get attention by going out for fame
your falling apart and you try to keep it together, but you find out its not the same
because

when lightning strikes it leaves you burning
it gives you flashes in your eyes
and you’ll remember what you have gone through
its a flash that ignites the moment and makes it so
and when your moment breaks you’ll know they were lies
your eyes will be wide open and you won’t believe it
but you’ll know its happening and you’ll have to make a stand
otherwise your light in fright won't survive

your strong hold caves in and shatters your dreams
and you’ll realize that all there was, was not what seems
its an illusion a powerful illusion that binds you in the darkness
its all fake, a Trojan horse to keep you in blindness

when lightning strikes it leaves you screaming
it unleashes the tears from your eyes
and you’ll be left thinking about her eyes,
when you go after the girl of your dreams
its a flash that explodes the fantasy that wakes you up to what it seems
and when your reality bursts you’ll know she told you lies
your ears will be ringing and your eyes will be immersed in tears
you don’t believe it, you won’t believe it, but you’ll realize its the truth
and you’ll know its happening and you’ll have to make a stand
otherwise your light in fright won't survive

I want you to close your hands
put them into mine
I’m your higher self, your true friend
your new but old
and you’re out on your own

I can tell you you’re weathered like a piece of paper
a piece of paper that is taped with rips and folds
can you see the words that tell you to make a new start
the truth is untold but your future is revealed
the future is torn, but it can be healed
she trapped you like gold to eat you whole
can you feel your whole? look at the sky and begin to rectify
